Poll: mission-critical use of log4net

On a previous thread the issue of log4net's fitness-of-purpose for more
mission-critical logging came up. As you may know, log4net makes no
claim to reliability, only to being a fail-stop (near-silent fail)
logging system.

Nonetheless, it is a very clean, usable, and easily configurable logging
application that, even for the declared risk, is a very attractive
option for more sensitive logging needs (e.g., audit logging).

Therefore, an informal poll: do you use log4net for sensitive logging
needs? Mission-critical? If so, what measures (if any) do you take to
ensure acceptable fail-safety? If not, what methods do you use for
mission-critical logging?

Thanks,
