[jira] Commented: (PDFBOX-345) Extracting XFA from
LifeCycle-Designer forms
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-345?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12616041#action_12616041 ]
Joachim Sieglen commented on PDFBOX-345:
----------------------------------------
Forms created by the newest LifeCycle-Designer generally pose problems to parsing:
it is also not possible to get a pages-dictionary (PDFBox finds the catalog dictionary,
but not the pages-dictionary addressed in the catalog).
> Extracting XFA from LifeCycle-Designer forms
> --------------------------------------------
>
> Key: PDFBOX-345
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PDFBOX-345
> Project: PDFBox
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Parsing
> Affects Versions: 0.7.3
> Environment: Windows Vista, Eclipse, Java, Tomcat
> Reporter: Joachim Sieglen
>
> I use the PDF-Box mainly to manipulate forms which are generated with
> the LifeCycle-Designer of Adobe. The main application of the PDF-Box is
> to extract the XFA-part of a LCD-form and to write it back after manipulation.
>
> All worked fine until I tried a LCD-form created with the newest LifeCycle-Designer
> (version 8.2 I suppose). With such a form the PDF-Box doesn't find the XFA and
> produces a Null-Pointer-Exception.
> Is there a solution for this problem?
