Maybe, I also met the same problem that loading file group failed and return shuffle data lost while files still exists. Could you please show me your test report and I want to apply this patch into production?

Celeborn already supports generic retries when sending RPCs that encounter timeout errors (see [CELEBORN-1757](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CELEBORN-1757)). Does this cover your needs?
