LEGAL-303 : RocksDB patent grant

Hey ASF Legally minded folks,

I wanted to draw your attention to
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-303 which seems to have been
sitting a bit unanswered.

We have a proposal that's floating that involves making the Cassandra
storage engine pluggable, with one likely implementation using the RocksDB
storage from FB.  Amateur reading seems like this is likely a nonissue, but
before we embark down this road, can we get an official (or semi-official)
confirmation that the RocksDB patent grant is unlikely to be a problem for
the foundation and project?
