If we run into issues, probably we can flip using the config. give me sometime, I need to fix the patch. bcoz, we also need to consider enabling the config and then disabling it. so, have to support both code paths and writers and readers.
   
   Ok if it's about avoiding conflicts, do you need more granularity? all the way to nanoseconds?
