cTakes for Italian

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to understand if I could use cTakes on clinical documents written in Italian: would it work? I mean: could I develop specific resources (such as dictionaries) for Italian and use them with cTakes or can I just customize what is already in the UMLS? (I am new to cTakes, so I apologize if the question is not clear or if it’s based on wrong premises.)
