[jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-5048) Allow caching on column families
to be configured on differently per data center
Delaney Manders created CASSANDRA-5048:
------------------------------------------
Summary: Allow caching on column families to be configured on differently per data center
Key: CASSANDRA-5048
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-5048
Project: Cassandra
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: Core
Affects Versions: 1.2.0 rc1
Reporter: Delaney Manders
Priority: Minor
When using one data center for hadoop/analytics, one as a canonical store and for serving high volume writes, and possibly even one for low-latency reads, the tuning requirements are dramatically different on the same column family.
I suspect being able to configure caching on just one datacentre would really make a difference.
