Summary: Apache cannot include conf files in a vfat or accross a
symlink to a vfat
Product: Apache httpd-2.0
Version: 2.0.54
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: Runtime Config
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: phocis@gmail.com
All of my permissions are correct.
su apache ls /my/vfat/mount/my-conf-include.conf
shows me that my permissions are okay.
And my symlinks are okay.
su apache ls /my/symlink-to-my-vfat-mount/my-conf-include.conf
shows me that my symlink is peachy.
However, whenever I try to start apache with an include to an conf file that
resides on my vfat partition, apache fails to start or even yield an error. My
/var/log/httpd/error_log is empty!
I've looked for help for this everywhere, and it seems that there is no solution
and other people are having this problem too.
