Check if I ticked the right buttons.

Don --

It would be a great help to us if you could open an issue on
Bugzilla -- https://bz.apache.org/ooo/

and provide details of your OS, etc. If being "admin" is NOT the
norm for installing OpenOffice on Windows, this obviously needs to
be fixed!

Thanks for helping by testing out this pre-release.

Installation aborted with msg that I lack access to registry.
I use regedit and can access "Command Prompt (admin)".

Yes, you are welcome to!

You will find the English version for Windows at

https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openoffice/4.1.2-rc1-r1705606/binaries/en-US/Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe

(if it is no longer available, it means it has been replaced by a newer
version; you will be able to find it starting from
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/openoffice/ )

Remember: pre-releases, as the name suggests, are made available for
testing purposes. Volunteers who test them should subscribe to the QA
list
https://openoffice.apache.org/mailing-lists.html#qa-mailing-list-public
where new pre-releases will be announced and tests are being coordinated.

Regards,
   Andrea.
