[jira] [Updated] (MESOS-2935) Fetcher doesn't extract from .tar files

Adam B updated MESOS-2935:
--------------------------
      Priority: Minor (was: Trivial)
    Issue Type: Bug (was: Documentation)
Summary: Fetcher doesn't extract from .tar files (was: Documentation Needs Clarification about Compressed artifacts)

Updating the title to reflect the real problem and potential solution.
I could shepherd this, but [~bernd-mesos] is the maintainer for the fetcher. He may want to shepherd.

> Compressed artifacts get decompressed with either "unzip -d" or "tar -C $DIR -xf"
> In addition, only the following file suffixes / extensions result in decompression:
> -tgz
> -tar.gz
> -tbz2
> -tar.bz2
> -tar.xz
> -txz
> -zip
> OR
> Alternatively, change fetcher to accept .tar as a valid suffix to trigger the tarball code.
