Error compiling old NetBeans Platform application with 12.6
Hi,
I just tried to update my existing 12.5 NB Platform Application to compile under 12.6 by changing my maven property from:
It works fine if I leave it to RELEASE125 but I just wanted to update to the latest code.
<netbeans.version>RELEASE125</netbeans.version>
To
<netbeans.version>RELEASE126</netbeans.version>
And two things happened:
1. I can’t compile the application because I get an error:
Failed to execute goal org.apache.netbeans.utilities:nbm-maven-plugin:4.6:manifest (default-manifest) on project ImportMeshSupport: Uncategorized problems with NetBeans dependency verification (maybe MNBMODULE-102 or wrong maven dependency metadata). Supposedly external classes are used in the project's binaries but the classes are not found on classpath. Class usages: [org.LatencyUtils.PauseDetector, org.LatencyUtils.SimplePauseDetector, org.LatencyUtils.IntervalEstimator, org.LatencyUtils.TimeCappedMovingAverageIntervalEstimator] -> [Help 1]
2. If I disable the checking of the modules in my ImportMeshSupport module using the maven snippet below, then the app builds fine but fails to run with the errors below:
I changed “verifyRuntime” to skip instead of fail to make it compile
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.netbeans.utilities</groupId>
<artifactId>nbm-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<extensions>true</extensions>
<configuration>
<verifyRuntime>skip</verifyRuntime>
</configuration>
</plugin>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-jar-plugin</artifactId>
<configuration>
<archive>
<manifestFile>${project.build.outputDirectory}/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF</manifestFile>
</archive>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
