[ANNOUNCE] HBase 0.94.6.1 is available for download

The HBase Team just released HBase 0.94.6.1.
This release only contains a single fix for an issue with rolling restarts to 0.94.6 from older releases.
See HBASE-8259 (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-8259) for more details.

HBase 0.94.6.1 is the current stable release of HBase.
0.94.6 will be removed from the mirrors soon.

Thanks to Aleksandr Shulman and J-D Cryans, who identified the issue and Matteo Bertozzi, who provided a fix.
We went from identifying the issue to a new release of HBase in less than 24h.

The HBase Team is pleased to announce the immediate release of HBase 0.94.6.
Download it from your favorite Apache mirror [1].

HBase 0.94.6 is a bug fix release and has 56 issues resolved against it, including a large back port of HBase snapshots.

0.94.6 is the current stable release of HBase.

As usual, all previous 0.92.x and 0.94.x releases can upgraded to 0.94.6 via a rolling upgrade without downtime, intermediary versions can be skipped.
