How much is this project active?

Hello, dear.

My company is thinking of making group mail service for small NGOs, it's
still just an idea though.
Having searched for nice and decent mail server projects for it, I found
James could be a quite good option for us.
One thing I worry about it is there has been no release after James 3 beta4
which dates back to April last year.
As I have read in the internet, I felt that this project had been active in
the early 2000s at least, but it does not seems to be so for now.

May I ask you where I could have some information about the James
developing plan?
How is it going at the moment? If it is inactive as I worry, why?
Additionally, it would be good for me to have any business example using
James 2.x or 3.x.

Thanks, in advance.
Hoyeong.

Posted by Robert Munn <ro...@gmail.com>.
I started using james recently and have found the community quite active.

There is an unreleased beta 5 version that I am running with good success.
The links are in the mail list archive.
