Hi thanks for working on this ticket [~tejavadali]. Instructions on how to prepare a patch (ie. how to format commit messages) can be found [on this doc|https://cassandra.apache.org/_/development/patches.html].

When you have a patch ready please submit a PR to the [github mirror|https://github.com/apache/cassandra] with this ticket number + short description (CASSANDRA-16308) and it will automagically link to this ticket and set the JIRA status to Patch Available. I can take a look and submit CI if it looks good to test.
