[jira] [Updated] (IVYDE-365) Failure in transitive resolving of projects

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVYDE-365?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

Reto Stadler updated IVYDE-365:
-------------------------------

    Attachment: org.apache.IVYDE-365.patch

With these patch the transitive resolving is done as expected. Is the preference "Resolve dependencies transitively" activated transitive set to true it compiles without any failure. Is transitive set to false I get an compile error as I expected.

> I have 3 projects configured.
> ProjectA
>     no dependency
>     public class ClassA {}
> ProjectB
> dependency to ProjectA and transitive false
>     public class ClassB extends ClassA {}
> ProjectC
> dependency to ProjectB and transitive false
>     public class ClassC extends ClassA {}
> Expected behaviour:
> I expect a compile error on class ClassC because we have no dependency to ProjectA and so ClassA should not be found.
> But ClassA will be found in any case. Also whatever is set in preferences for "Resolve dependencies transitively".
