Warnings after SA 2.63 to SA 3.0

Hi

I am getting 169 warnings in my spamassassin --lint report after
upgrading the SA from 2.63 to 3.0

These warnings are compiled of the following type of messages

warning: description for SARE_HEAD_XLIB_INDY2 is over 50 chars (159 of this type)
warning: description exists for non-existent rule SARE_RD_SAFE_MKSHRT (4 of this type)
warning: score set for non-existent rule SARE_RD_SAFE_GT (4 of this type)
warning: rule 'VIRUS_WARNING_MIMEDEFANG' is over 22 chars (2 of this type)

I have the following conf files in my /etc/mail/spamassassin folder

19 of 70_sare_*.cf and 1 of 71_sare-*.cf, 72_sare_*.cf, 99_sare_*.cf
files. I also have antidrug.cf, backhair.cf, bogus-virus-warnings.cf,
evilnumbers.cf, tripwire.cf and ofcourse local.cf file.

The local.cf file looks like this

required_hits 5
rewrite_header Subject ****SPAM****
report_safe 0
use_bayes 1
bayes_auto_learn 1
bayes_auto_expire 0
skip_rbl_checks 1
rbl_timeout 3
use_razor2 1
razor_config /etc/mail/spamassassin/.razor/razor-agent.conf
ok_languages en
ok_locales en
bayes_path /etc/mail/spamassassin/bayes
bayes_file_mode 0770

Any idea why I am getting those warnings?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestion

You seem to have out of date SARE rules, or are running ruleset variants
that you are not supposed to run on 3.0. I believe we fixed all of these a
few weeks back, with the deliberate exception of one or two ruleset variants
that are specifically NOT supposed to be used on 3.0.

The last rule listed there is from bogus_virus_warnings.cf, which is not a
sare rule. I'm not positive what the status of these rule names are, but I
*think* there may be an updated set available.

As Loren said, your SARE and other rule sets are out of date. These are
fixed, and if you replace all of your custom rule sets with the current
versions, this problem should go away.

The 71_* files are definitely PRE-30, so get rid of those.
antidrug and backhair are incorporated into 3.0, so get rid of those.
Check the 99's -- many may have been renamed/removed as we've migrated
most to 70's. If there is no new version of a file, then get rid of it.
