[jira] [Updated] (COUCHDB-1687) HEAD requests on all valid _design/doc endpoints (particularly _update)

Benjamin Young updated COUCHDB-1687:
------------------------------------

    Description:
I began building an update handler to "catch" webhook POSTs, but found that some (like MandrillApp.com ) want to be sure the endpoint exists (so they do a HEAD request) before they send content via POST.

However, hitting an _update/handler with HEAD generates a 500 Internal Server Error currently.

Additionally, I found that _view/* URL's actually send the full content body to HEAD requests.

I'd love to see _update & _view (and all the others) respond correctly to HEAD requests.

Thanks!
