This is currently a rather loose collection of interfaces and oak specific utilities that were not generic enough to fit into oak-commons but still were not as tightly coupled to oak-core functionality like e.g. query, security. As we move forward (and improve other parts of oak-core) this module is likely to be refactored again.
It currently contains the following packages:
* org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.cache (
** moved everything from oak-core except for {{ConsolidatedCacheStats}} which was moved to org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.cache.impl
* org.apache.jackrabbit.commons.jmx
** moved {{AbstractCheckpointMBean}} from org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.util
** moved {{AnnotatedStandardMBean}} and {{JmxUtil}} from oak-commons here
** moved {{ManagementOperation}} from o.a.j.oak.management in oak-core
* org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.osgi
** moved {{OsgiUtil}} and {{OsgiWhileboard}} from oak-core here
** {{ObserverTracker}} got moved to {{org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.spi.commit}} where it is used (see above)
* moved {{AggregatingDescriptors}} and {{GenericDescriptors}} from o.a.j.oak.util (in oak-core) to o.a.j.oak.spi.descriptors
* org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.spi.mount: moved everything from oak-core
* org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.spi.gc: moved everything from oak-core
* org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.spi.whiteboard
** moved {{AbstractServiceTracker}}, {{CompositeRegistration}}, {{DefaultWhiteboard}}, {{Registration}}, {{Tracker}}, {{Whiteboard}}, {{WhiteboardAware}}, {{WhiteboardExecutor}}, {{WhiteboardUtils}} from oak-core
** moved security related whiteboard to corresponding security packages (see also OAK-6034)
** removed WhiteboardUtils#registerObserver (OAK-6036)
** move {{WhiteboardEditorProvider}} to o.a.j.oak.spi.commit
** move {{WhiteboardIndexEditorProvider}} and {{WhiteboardIndexProvider}} to org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.index
