The mysql driver bundled with netbeans is licensed GPL and thus can't be distributed together with apache netbeans.

The situation is similar to the oracle db drivers, for which driver templates, but no binaries are provided.

It should be checked if a "on-demand download" option can be provided to make this easier for the end-user.
