Putting steps shared by [~deepak.dixit] and [~yashwant.dhakad] to use new fonts:
 # Copy font files at location framework/resources/fonts/ 
 # Go to fop.xconf file and change <directory>framework/resources/fonts/NotoSans</directory>
with
<directory recursive="true">framework/resources/fonts/</directory>
 # Go to framework/webapp/config/fop.properties and change the fop.font.family=SimplifiedArabic
 #  Restart the server.

With above mentioned steps, we should be able to use custom font's.

[~fawziahmed], Please let us know if you are able to solve your problem with above mentioned steps so that we can close this issue.
