Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: FOR-6
Summary: Use of generate-id() for the hyperlinked table of contents
       Type: Bug

     Status: Closed
   Priority: Minor
 Resolution: FIXED

    Project: Forrest
  Component: XML grammars & validation
    Fix For: HEAD
   Versions:
             HEAD

   Assignee: Steven Noels
   Reporter: Steven Noels

    Created: Sun, 24 Nov 2002 6:20 AM
    Updated: Sat, 11 Jan 2003 5:23 AM

Description:
Long-standing issue:

the hyperlinks used in the autogenerated table of contents make us of the generate-id() function, producing ugly and un-REST-like URIs like http://xml.apache.org/forrest/your-project.html#N10069, also bound to change upon subsequential invocations or across different environments.

Oh well - sorry for taking that long to look properly into it. :-|

It was a change of configuration that triggered this issue - and due to
my lowered attention level wrt. Forrest I wasn't aware of the troubles
over here. So many lists, so little time.... :-(

Seems like we're all set up and running again. Jira needs a VM recycle
when changing listener parameters.
