   We need to wait for https://github.com/apache/parquet-testing/pull/11 to be merged, then update the submodule so that the tests pass.
   
   @sunchao @paddyhoran may you please also have a look at this when you get a chance. I have some slight concerns around Arrow <-> Parquet format support, but I'm comfortable that we'll be able to pick up any required changes when we progress with the Arrow to Parquet writer.
