FOP/SVG Status
- no sign of a proper w3c interface, maybe this should be followed up?
- CSIRO seem willing to let us use their code in the fop proj.
(providing legals are ok)
I'm still not convinced that it would be that useful, sure there are a
number of implementation classes that would require no changes. But a
number of the classes would require splitting up to handle the parsing,
rendering and dom implementation.
To me it would be good to know that we can use their code (I'm following
this up), and then use what is suitable and for the rest understand how
it works and get the good bits.
I'll deal with any communication with them
- svg specific properties are done with namespace specific properties
- todo - text transform, markers, shading, arcs, some styles, clipping,
opacity
- time to completion? put it this way I won't be doing it all
- I have made a number of changes since the last 'release', this will be
available some time in the future
