I investigated using Swagger annotations to generate Swagger from our Jersey-based Java code.  I found that our setup which uses Sub-resources and Sub-resources that have Sub-resources is problematic for the Swagger annotations. 

More research (and possibly bug fixes to the Swagger annotations project), is going to be required to make Swagger annotations work with Usergrid.
