Summary: menu help/help (strg+h) does not work
Product: JMeter
Version: 2.3
Platform: All
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: Main
AssignedTo: jmeter-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: christoph.schragen@gmx.at
when trying to open helpfile, this file cannot be found (see exeption in
logfile). this problem exists in release 2.2 and 2.3.
problem is Help.java in package org.apache.jmeter.gui.action, it tries to find
helpfile in /printable_docs directory, which has to be renamed to "docs".
can someone fix that please?

No - JMeter has two sets of documentation - printable_docs and docs.
Docs is used for the web-site; it's not suitable for the help as it includes
the left hand web-site navigation panel. [Though some of the items ae shared
with printable_docs].
I just checked, and the both the docs and printable_docs directory structures
are included in the JMeter 2.2 and 2.3RC3 releases.
Please check the JMeter release and you should see the files.
