Arun Suresh commented on YARN-5135:
-----------------------------------
[~steve_l], this was fixed by YARN-4991. Think its been committed to trunk only.. let me cherry-pick to branch-2
> ContainerRequest labels ignored -broken constructor
> ---------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: YARN-5135
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-5135
> Project: Hadoop YARN
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: client
> Affects Versions: 2.9.0
> Reporter: Steve Loughran
> Priority: Blocker
>
> The backwards-compatible constructor for {{ContainerRequest}} ignores the nodeLabelExpression parameter. As a result, you can't requests nodes with a label.
> Tagged as a blocker on the basis that it's a fundamental regression. Sorry.
> This surfaces in the slider test {{TestRoleHistoryOutstandingRequestTracker}}; YARN itself needs a unit test here to verify the regression is fixed, and that it doesn't come back.
