REPORT #111 Details.

Project: Tomcat
Category: Bug Report
SubCategory: New Bug Report
Class: swbug
State: received
Priority: medium
Severity: serious
Confidence: public
Environment:
   Release: 1.3
   JVM Release: jdk 1.1.8
   Operating System: WinNT
   OS Release: 4.0 w/patch 4
   Platform: Pentium II

Synopsis:
Apache Server hangs when WinNT sound player is run from servlet.

Description:
The Apache WebServer hangs when the WinNT sound player is accessed to play wave files from a servlet. Using well tested JNI's for wave file play, which run correctly under normal JVM invocations, the Apache Web Server will hang and no longer process servlets once a wave file play is attempted (wave file does not play).

Note: The same servlets run correctly on Win98 and the Apache WebServer does NOT hang.
