Nicola,

I'm running it and it looks good (ignoring the dist target not working 
because of PDF outage)

Could you give u an overview of the changes ...?

1) stylesheets replaced
2) cocoon upgraded to 2.03
3) src/documentation directory created to ...?
4) tools/??? deleted as a consequene of (3)
5).... ?

I'm interested of course as EOB and others could benefot from the same 
changes.
Also, what is next in the plan re these upgrades for jakata-avalon-* ?
Also #2 , what has happend re size of source download (estimate) ?

Sure :-)
Basically it's the same used by krysalis and POI.

All except the docbook related one, that was just fixed to work with the
aggregation used by the forrest-krysalis skins. They are under
src/documentation/library/xslt now.
These are the *common* stylesheets.
The ones used by the skins are under the
src/documentation/skins/skinname/xslt.

I've included 3 skins, the basic one (easy to see how a skin is), the
avalon-site one and the older jakarta-site one.

Yup.
Now the sitemap is not compiled anymore, but interpreted.
Less startup overhead, less resource usage.

src/documentation contains the documentation system
src/xdocs contains the documents

I've used these to move the less possible around.

yes, the tools/documentation stuff is gone.

This is a first step, the final one would be to use Centipede, but it's
still too in a flux right now.

Then we'll decide.
