Warning/Error during mod_jk compilation

When compiling mod_jk I get the following warning

*warning NO JAVA 2 HEADERS! SUPPORT FOR JAVA 2 FEATURES DISABLED

if anyone has an idea to get this warning gone (I guess I'd like JAVA 2 
FEATURES ENABLED)

RedHat 6.2 I386
Sun JDK1.3(beta) for linux
