Tomcat 3.2.3 - please help.

Hello all.
I'm using Tomcat 3.2.3.
Could anybody please tell me how to
catch my System.out.print messages in
the log file?
If I starting Tomcat from startup.bat
I can see them in DOS consol but not
in the log file.
Any help welcome.
