XHTML fixes for Tapestry 4.0?

Now, I don't know the exact status of XHTML compliance for this stable
release. But it'd be nice to follow conventions on
non-normative-but-useful XHTML constraints, specified here:

http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/REC-xhtml1-20020801/#guidelines

The problem we're seeing at Tacos is that rendering of
<textarea></textarea> gives problems in Firefox when using AJAX requests
(which require valid XHTML). Another issue could be use of spaces before
the "/>" on several elements.

What's the Tapestry committers position about this? I think these small
changes can go in this release as a stability feature.
