I found apache, sourceforge.org and xxamp. How do I configure what
files to offer on the ftp site?

That question is WAY under-specified. We have no idea what you want to
do or where you are starting from.
If you have absolutely no experience with web servers, I suggest you
buy a good book to get you started. This forum works for people with
specific questions, but not for people needing step-by-step guidance.
