svn copy error: path not found

Hi all,

I'm receiving a 'path not found ' error after attempting a 'svn copy'
command like so:

   svn copy https://mysvn/myproject/trunk
https://https://mysvn/myproject/tags/mytag -m "Tagging trunk for .."

   svn: '/!svn/bc/18768/myproject/tags/mytag' path not found

client info:
   svn, version 1.6.5 (r38866)

Not certain of the server version (not sure how to find that out, as I
don't have shell access).

Has anyone seen this issue before and know what causes it?

Thanks,
Dave

Correct I had a typo which lead me to believe the directory I was
copying too existed. The --parents option worked, but wasn't what I
wanted. It exposed my typo.

Thanks,
Dave

Glad you got it working but FYI Bob's solution shouldn't have helped you
if the tags/ directory really existed the first time.

You probably don't have the /tags folder yet. You can create it or change your command to:

svn copy --parents https://mysvn/myproject/trunk https://mysvn/myproject/tags/mytag -m "Tagging trunk for .."

Yes it is. That wasn't part of the command I executed that generated the error

https://mysvn/myproject/tags/ exists.

Is that doubled 'https://' a typo?

Does https://mysvn/myproject/tags/ exist?
