Xerces Perl

Hi,

    I'm trying to install Xerces Perl on a  Red Hat 6.1 I Intel box.
Running g++ and Perl 5.005_03.  I will also have to build
this under Solaris 2.6 UltraSparc. I'm following the install
docs, but am stuck compiling DOMString2.cpp.

    I'm clueless about microsoft compiles, so I imagine
that I'm not correctly translating the microsoft-specific
makefile.pl correctly.

    Does anybody have notes or an actual working Makefile
for compiling Xerces Perl under Linux or Unix?

Huh?  We have done a port to Unix (Debian 2.2).
It is basically a redo of what was done for MS.
A redo is not as big as it seems as it is a SWIG wrappering.
Would you like us to send what we have at present?
We were waiting for a redo for MS based Xerces-perl using Xerces 1.1
before submitting diffs.  It is done? (I haven't checked for a week)

Our work is an extract of the header files.
Then some operator/function overloading hacks to the SWIG
generated code.

Incidently, we would like authorization from somebody to 
make a debian package for both Xerces-c and Xerces-perl
and add these packages to the next Debian distribution.

Few people had voluteered to do the port to Unix, but no
one has yet submitted the patches. If you do get it working,
please do submit the patches for integration. You can send
the diff's to this same mailing list.
