If a pom has dependencies with custom packaging types defined in a pluging extension, the pom task is not able to resolve these dependencies.
For example a pom with dependencies on artifacts using the [jboss-sar|http://mojo.codehaus.org/jboss-packaging-maven-plugin/] type will work fine when used directly from maven as long as the correct plugin extension is defined.
When loading this pom using the ant pom task however, maven is unable to resolve the dependency.

The workaround for this seems to be to just specify a type that matches the file extension. So the custom extension can be resolved by the dependencies task, but the task is not able to create type to extension mappings from the build extensions listed in the pom.
