Anon cvs error

I have gotten the following error from anoncvs
for a while now, and I want to know if anyone else
can get access to the anoncvs repository
Here is the error:

This is following the instructions from
http://dev.apache.org/anoncvs.txt

(xnos)~% echo $CVSROOT
:pserver:anoncvs@anoncvs.apache.worldgate.com:/cvs
(xnos)~% runsocks cvs login
(Logging in to anoncvs@anoncvs.apache.worldgate.com)
CVS password:
(xnos)~% runsocks cvs checkout apache-1.3
Terminated with fatal signal 11
Core dumped; preserving /tmp/cvs-serv6428 on server.
CVS locks may need cleaning up.
(xnos)~%

Also I have tried from Solaris 2.5.1, RedHat 5.1, and NT4.0.
All of which have worked in the past.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I do know that in the mean time I can grab the tar ball from
http://dev.apache.org/from-cvs/

Thanks
