Removing a Component

I have a bunch of Hidden components generated on a page at run-time.
During my detach()  phase I need to clean these up or the next time
the page is loaded else I get stale link problems. So, my question is,
how can I remove them during detach, or is there some other manner in
which I can toast the page's class? I've tried forgetPage and
discardPage, and neither worked how I expected (ie, the page still
existed in memory and was reloaded upon invocation). Any
suggestions/assistance/guidance is very appreciated!
