Description

As a member of the Build Technologies Department Tools Infrastructure and
Processes (TIP) team within the Release Management Division (RMD), the
primary responsibilities of this position are in the Java build and the
C++/C# build areas.  This team provides builds for external customers and
for use by development and testing groups as part of the development
process. Using your Ant skills, you will contribute to the new Java Build
System (iFABS) effort in the areas of bug fixes, enhancements, and tooling. 

This position is in support of the enterprise class Java Build needs of SAS.
The candidate will work alone as well as in a large groups; must communicate
well, be flexible and adapt quickly to rapidly changing situations. Some
international travel may be required. 

Qualifications

Essential
*

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field with;
*       5 years of software development/programming experience.
*       2 years of Ant programming experience. 
*       A minimum of 1 year of Java programming experience.
*       A minimum of 1 year of Unix shell programming experience.
 Additional
*

Excellent problem solving skills.
*       Good written and oral communication skills. 
*       Highly motivated, intelligent self-starter.
*       Perl language proficiency.
*       Ability to work independently or with a team.

Preferences:
*

Ant programming experience in an Enterprise-class support role. 
*       Experience writing Ant extensions.
*       Ivy experience.
*       Eclipse experience.

Additional Information

To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United
States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for

The level of this position will be determined based on the applicant's
education, skills and experience.
