This Wiki will document the design efforts of the team developing a scalable backend for JDO.  The creation of the Wiki and the resulting project came out of a short but great e-mail discussion between Richard Schilling and Craig Russell.  It should be emphasized that this Wiki is truly a living document, and reflects the development process of the scalable backend.  To that end, you will see a creative process unfold.
