[users@httpd] Apache 1.3.33 on XServe

Hellos,

I'm having some serious performance problem with apache-1.3.33 on
Apple XServe (X.3.9).

Does anyone know of any resources that could help me in addressing
issues pertaining to OS X and Apache?

Basically, Apache starts several children, and the suddenly
everything (site access) slows down. The httpd.conf is quite
the 'stock' config. The only changes could be those incorporated
from the virtual host configurations.

I'd really like to share ideas with other admins using XServe.
