[jira] Created: (UIMA-1784) CAS serialization format should be
configurable at import time
CAS serialization format should be configurable at import time
--------------------------------------------------------------
Key: UIMA-1784
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-1784
Project: UIMA
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: CasEditor
Affects Versions: 2.3
Reporter: Thomas Hampp
Some of our older tools for precsion/recall etc still only work with the XCAS format.
The CasEditor is pretty flexible with regard to allowing mixing of xcas and xmi cas documents in a corpus.
The one point where the support for "legacy" xcas corpora could be improved would be at import.
A check box that would allow to select the target format (XCAS or XMI-CAS) would be very helpful.

Jörn Kottmann commented on UIMA-1784:
-------------------------------------
Added a combo box to choose the format of the created CAS files. The format is preset to XMI because that is considered as the new UIMA default serialization format.
