[Fulcrum] Problems when building site
Hi folks
I try to add the Dashboard report which is actually a piece of cake. I
tried to generate the website using
"maven multiproject:site"
and this fails for the fulcrum-mimetype with
> Testcase:
testGetCharSet(org.apache.fulcrum.mimetype.MimetypeTest): Caused an ERROR
> Could not initialize the container because the config file could not
be found:src\test\TestComponentConfig.xml
> java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not initialize the container
because the config file could not be found:src\test\TestComponentConfig.xml
It looks like a wrong working directory somehow. The funny thing is
+) that the tests work when executing them from within fulcrum-mimetype
and also for the overall build using "maven fulcrum:build".
+) They only fail when running through the reactor in the JCoverage step
(=rerunning the instrumented code again). When I disable the JCoverage
report everything is fine
Questions:
+) is using "multiproject:site" the right way to create the site?
+) is the problem I have with fulcrum-mimetype a known problem?
+) Shall I remove the JCoverage report for fulcrum-mimetype in favour to
get the reports generated? Or is there another workaround?
+) Newbie question - can I upload the generated site since the last
upload was done 24th November 2004?
Cheers,
Siegfried Goeschl

Sure, but please check locally first, whether all the reports and
links are ok and make sure that my "nagoya" changes are not nuked away
(i.e. changed the various source files to refer wiki / mail-archives /
issues).
find target/docs -type f | xargs grep -il nagoya | wc
repeat until count is zero.
Regards
Henning

Hi Eric,
+) the memory consumption is fine 170 MBytes with JVM set to 512 MByte
+) I found a setting to execute JCoverage as a seperate process or not -
I give it a try to run it within the JVM
+) I assume that the changes from Henning are commited? I'm doing a a
clean checkout & build anyway ....
+) I'm adding the Dashboard stuff also
+) And after that I can finally commit some changes for YAAFI
For Eric
+) you dodged the bullet regarding the fulcrum-resourceservice ... what
is the existing overlap with Turbine?! I still want to commit the Groovy
service but it depends on the resource service so effectively stalled
the contribution
+) I also have a fulcrum-dom4jxslt-service which overlaps with the
existing fulcrum-xslt-service - you might want to have a look at it?
Cheers,

I have run multiproject:site before to generate the site docs, and
sometimes I have edited my maven.bat to up the memory used by Maven. As
far as the MimetypeTest, that is an odd one.. Check and see if there is
some sort of setup difference between mimetype and others...
I like the jcoverage tests, but they can break things when running
them.. If you want to remove the jcoverage report from mimetype then go
ahead, it's not really crucial.
I would be happy to have you upload the new site as well.. Per henning,
just doublecheck the nagoya references!
Hollar if you have any other questions...
