Gary Tully commented on AMQ-2485:
---------------------------------

The master needs to be restarted and the slave attached again. A slave cannot play catch up with an already started and active master. there is a waitForSlave option on a master that can facilitate the synchronized start of the master.

Would this suffice?

Jörn Kottmann commented on AMQ-2485:
------------------------------------

Just looking again at the documentation, it says:

"A master broker doesn't need any special configuration - it's a normal broker until a slave broker attaches itself."

But thats not true, right ? Because a master must be configured to wait for a slave to be attached.
