[jira] [Commented] (KNOX-827) Admin UI needs a way to configure API URL

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-827?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15768982#comment-15768982 ]

Larry McCay commented on KNOX-827:
----------------------------------

I'm not sure that we need to make this configurable.

I think from an admin/ops perspective that the most important thing be that we can easily change the authentication providers, etc and not have to actually change the application in any way.

IMO, easiest way to approach this is to create a new topology to host both the ui and the API.

> The Admin UI is hard coded to use the colocated Admin API that is essentially /gateway/admin/api/v1. We need a mechanism to be able to configure this URL so that other topologies can be used to host the API.
