[jira] [Updated] (HBASE-15631) Backport Regionserver Groups
(HBASE-6721) to branch-1
Andrew Purtell updated HBASE-15631:
-----------------------------------
Attachment: HBASE-15631-branch-1.patch
Dropping a new version of the patch addressing [~toffer]'s reviewboard feedback. The common theme of his feedback was the branch-1 backport diverged from >= branch-2 in some interfaces, due to the branch-1 work being based on an older rev of the feature. I have fixed this by checking out branch-2's hbase-rsgroup module at a71f62de and making the minimum number of fixups to get it compiling in place in branch-1. This required adding Address to hbase-common and addition of a couple of methods for dealing with Addresses to ServerName in hbase-client.
Not tested yet. WIP

> Based on dev list discussion backporting region server group should not be an issue as it does not: 1. destabilize the code. 2. cause backward incompatibility.
