[REPORT] Community Lists and Archives Activity through 2016 Q2
Community Lists and Archives

This is list activity data compiled for the 2016 Second-Quarter report to the Apache Software Foundation Board.
Every mailing list has decreased in average monthly activity from 2016 Q1
to 2016 Q2. Some mailing lists have negligible traffic. Because of
Northern Hemisphere Summer, it is too soon to know how much the year-over-
year decline in activity has continued.
The complete compilation of the data is in PDF at
<https://s.apache.org/OHfh>. The list is in decreasing order by 2015
Activity.

Dennis:
This seems in line with a general decline I am observing (but not quantitatively recording) on other mailing lists (different and unrelated topics). It is perhaps a generational shift in behaviour of a younger generation. As I don't use Facebook/Instagram/Other social media I cannot comment on whether there has been a corresponding increase in related topics on such media
