Releases to repository.apache.org (WAGON 2.9)

Hi,

i have observed a strange thing that it took ages to create a release on 
repository.apache.org in particular the transfer to the repository 
staled in the middle...and finally it completely breakes...the release 
process...

After i updated to the not published WAGON 2.9. all the problems have 
vanished...
