suggestion for docs

           Summary: suggestion for docs
           Product: Apache httpd-1.3
           Version: 1.3.27
          Platform: Sun
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Minor
          Priority: Other
         Component: Documentation
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: jdriller@orchid.org

I am a webmaster who has usually done binary installs or had sys admins do the
builds. I am about to do another full install and was reminded of this source
of confusion: in /manual/install.html you state 'Select modules to compile into
Apache in the Configuration file. ' What you mean, I believe, is 'Select
modules to compile into Apache in the Configuration file
(prefix/src/Configuration.tpl). '. This avoids the confusion many of us (I)
experienced who thought you mean httpd.conf configuration files....

Hope that helps...

Jonathan Driller
