[jira] Closed: (XERCESC-1823) CDATA pretty print outputs too many new lines

Boris Kolpackov closed XERCESC-1823.
------------------------------------

       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 3.0.0
         Assignee: Boris Kolpackov

It is actually wrong to inject any whitespaces into a node with a CDATA section since they might be significant (for this same reason we don't do this for text nodes). The fix in SVN addresses this also for comments.

> Running DOMPrint on the following XML sample file :
> <root><![CDATA[some data]]></root>
> Using the following command line :

> Produces the following output :
> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?>
> <root>
> <![CDATA[some data]]>
> </root>
> Whereas I had expected :
> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?>
> <root>
> <![CDATA[some data]]>
> </root>
> Thanks !
