AW: Wer ist für die PHP-Einträge in der httpd.conf zuständig

ich habe heute mal wieder LAMP installiert und dabei ist mir
aufgefallen, daß der folgende Eintrag diesmal nicht in der httpd.conf
stand (PHP 4.2.1 und Apache 1.3.26):

# For example, the PHP 3.x module (not part of the Apache distribution

# http://www.php.net) will typically use:

#AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3
#AddType application/x-httpd-php3-source .phps

Wer ist denn für diese Einträge zuständig, macht das der Apache oder
PHP? Und warum stand das diesmal nicht drin? Dachte schon, ich hätte
was falsch gemacht und alles neu kompiliert - dann habe ich die
Einträge doch per Hand gemacht - es läuft, aber interessieren würde es
mich ja schon.
